New York's great institutions -- Saint Patricks Cathederal and the Public Library.

Atlas sculpture
Once we reach Rockefeller Center, the home of Atlas, we are in the heart of Midtown. Here's a view of the main plaza at the heart of Rockefeller Center, with the GE Building (Originally the RCA building) in the background.

Saint Patricks Cathederal is the main Catholic church in New York.

Fred French building
Looking southward, one can see the top of the Fred French building: a novel building of the late 1920s adorned with colorful friezes. Looking to the left, one side of Grand Central Terminal is visible down 44th Street. In the distance, the stainless steel cupola of everybody's favorite building -- the Chrysler Building -- is visible.

500 Fifth Ave
On the north-west corner of 5th Ave and 42nd Street is 500 Fifth Avenue -- a classic Art Deco skyscraper with an unusual asymmetric form.

New York Public Library
The New York Public Library's main building at 42nd Street and 5th Aveune. Over the library's entrance are these statues which frame carved tablets listing the predecessors of the NYPL: The Astor Library, the Lenox Library, and the Tilden Trust.
