| After turning down 5th Ave, we come to "Museum Mile". First we encounter the Museum of the City of New York | Next comes the Museo del Barrio |
| On one side of 5th avenue we see the Conservatory garden -- a stately holdover from the days of Victorian propriety in New York. . . . | . . . . and on the other side of the Avenue we have the Carnegie Mansion -- a reminder that the Victorian days in New York were the days when the city was ruled by the robber barons. |

| Nestled amongst some of the most expensive real estate in the entire world is the Guggenheim Museum. Here you can see the museum through the windscreen of the bus. |

| One of the few buildings in Central Park itself, The Metropolitan Museum houses one of the most fabulous collections of art in the entire world. | Alongside the Met, artists and artist-wannabees sell their wares on the sidewalk to the crowds. |
| Across the street from the Met, between two classic buildings, is this strange modernistic entrance to a luxury mid-block apartment building designed by H. I. Feldman. The building itself is visible between the two classic buildings. This entrance lends the building's residents the prestige of a Fifth Avenue address. | After visiting the Met, we'll get back on the bus to head further downtown. |
| Return to the top of Central Park. | Continue the M4 bus tour. |
