Next we enter the huge
Columbia Presbyterian Medical Center
complex. The
tower is part of the hospital, the ornate buildings in front are
apartments. Perhaps because Washington Heights has been neglected for
several decades, many apartment buildings retain their original
ornaments. This is in contrast to the more fashionable (Y)upper West
Side, where many building were stripped of their ornaments by greedy
landlords over the years.

The bus arrives at the corner of 165th St and Fort Washington Ave.
Columbia Pres looms in the background.
