Here's a shot of the Science Museum as seen from the old Charles River locks. Here's another nautical warning sign left unattended and unused at the locks.

Here's another unusual shot of the Science Museum, as seem from the old Charles River locks. Craig takes in the view, while keeping an eye open for any staties. Behind him are conductivity meters, which apparently measure the ionicity of the water in the Charles River. Naturally, these devices spurred a considerable amount of discussion and speculation amongst us geeks about their purpose.

I noticed this manhole cover with the label "CRB", which means (I am guessing) "Charles River Basin". Here are the regulations governing the use of the Charles River Basin. This sheet was dated 1975, which probably corresponds to the last time that maintainence was done on the old locks.
